Asian Americans Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders are 10% of the state’s eligible voters and they are concentrated in the Las Vegas/Clark County where 73% of Nevadans live.  Filipino Americans are the largest AANHPI group in Nevada. There is a large Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders population in Las Vegas. There are 266,169 eligible APA voters. Biden won Nevada in 2020 by 33,596 votes. 

One APIA Nevada (OAN) was founded in 2018. Through their work, AANHPI early voting and vote by mail increased by 62%. OAN’s youth voter engagement work is highlighted by events such as KPop to the Polls, Puppies and Boba, and Baby Goats for People’s Votes. OAN has 10 staff members (seven in Las Vegas and three in Reno, and they plan to focus on several state legislative races and support the re-election of U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen and U.S. Representative Susie Lee, whose district is 13.4% APA. Executive Director Eric Jeng has extensive experience as a policy advocate and electoral organizer.
